Marclen Ricafort

Marclen is very passionate about working with children. She came from a big family of 4 brothers and 3 sisters which exposed her to a loving and caring environment. She has so much experience working with children from infant to school age. Back in college, she experienced working and volunteering in a program that caters to less fortunate children to learn literacy. As a requirement she also taught at a private preschool and public elementary school. Moving on, she earned her Bachelors in Humanities with a Professional Certificate in Early Childhood Education at University of Asia & Pacific, Philippines. In 2010, she worked as childcare attendant which took in children from 6 weeks old to 12 years old. She also worked as a Pre-K assistant teacher for 2 years and later on became a lead teacher for 1 year. She is currently working with the toddler class for the last 3 years. Marclen does not only have the passion in working with children in the classroom but also loves to work outside especially when it comes to sports. She was a volunteer assistant coach for an American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) in 2011, handling ages 4 to 5 years old. In 2014, she volunteered as an Assistant Coach for a 7th grade volleyball team. On the side, in 2012 she also found time to volunteer at the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital to help with the Library delivering books/ movies to patients and their families who are checked- in. On her spare time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors and playing sports (Basketball and Flag Football). She also babysits occasionally whenever some families need an extra hand.
